Tip 1

  • Sprinkle the salt into the bottom layer of the washed and dried container.
  • Then add the cereals to one layer.
  • Again sprinkle the salt on the grains and add cereals.
  • Do like these two to three layers to store the cereals for a more extended period.
  • Or else mix two to three spoons of the salt in cereals.

Tip 2

  • Add one tablespoon of mustard oil to the one kg of chana dal and mix it well to avoid bugs.
  • Mix in a wide bowl for uniformity.
  • After that, store it in a container.

Tip 3

  • Firstly, add bay leaves to the bottom side of the container and add the lentils to one layer.
  • Next again, add bay leaves; after that, add lentils.
  • Like this, do two to three layers of lentils and bay leaves.

Tip 4

  • Take neem leaves and dry them.
  • Add it in chana dal by layer by layer as told above.

  • Take some neem leaves and turmeric powder.
  • And make a paste.
  • Make biscuits with the neem paste.
  • Dry those neem biscuits.
  • After drying the neem biscuits, add two biscuits in a silk cloth and close it.

  • Take two to three red chilies.
  • Add those red chilies in lentils to avoid bugs.

  • Take some neem leaves, two to three red chilies, and a half tablespoon of baking soda.
  • Dry the neem leaves and red chilies.
  • And make a fine powder with neem leaves, chilies, and baking soda.
  • Add two tablespoons of this neem powder into cereals.

  • Add one tablespoon of borax powder into cereals to avoid bugs.
  • This borax powder will be available in medical shops and supermarkets.
  • But wash these cereals before using.

Tip 9

  • Firstly, take two to three tablespoons of rock salt and two tablespoons of turmeric powder.
  • Mix those rock salt and turmeric powder in lentils in a wide bowl.
  • Keep those lentils in an airtight container.

  • Take two tablespoons of asafoetida and keep it in a cotton cloth and tie it.
  • Keep this asafoetida packet in between the grains to avoid insects and bugs.

  • Add one tablespoon of castor oil or olive oil and mix it in wheat grains.

  • Take urad dal and dry roast for three to four minutes.
  • And allow it to cool.
  • After that, add it to a container and mix with two to three red chilies into it.

  • Take some fresh neem leaves for two days in the shade.
  • Keep these leaves in small ziplock polythene covers.
  • Make a-holes to the zip lock covers with a toothpick.
  • You can also place the neem leaves in a cotton cloth or stapled covers.
  • Store these zip lock covers with the grains.

  • Take some neem leaves, five tablespoons of rock salt, and two to three red chilies.
  • Add these all are in grains to avoid bugs.
